Depression
Life isn't as great as a lot of people make it out to be. How can I dance when I feel so depressed? How can I smile when I start to hate myself? When people say "Just don't feel depressed" they don't understand what it's like to feel self-hatred or depressed. They don't understand that it's not that easy to just feel happy when you constantly feel like crying your eyes out. A lot of people, like me, probably wear a mask to make other people think they're happy sometimes. But in reality, they're tearing themselves apart with their thoughts inside. Of course there are the moments and days when we don't feel depressed. We feel truly happy. But one little thing can throw off our emotions and make us feel terrible agian. The reason may be small to others, but to you, it's huge. A lot of people just don't understand that. No one knows how you truly, deeply feel inside. How your mind and thoughts on yourself tear your soul to pieces.
It may seem impossible, but we can be strong. We can overcome the depression, the anxiety, or just keep it at bay. It's inevitable that it will attack us at times, but we can eventually be okay. We can be happy, no matter how difficult and impossible it seems.
